Dan Flatten founded CORE Building Company in November of 2003, after working in construction for 13 years. Dan’s focus within CORE is managing the company and building its reputation within the construction industry. As president, his duties include business development, estimating and overseeing the day to day progress of the company. Having started from the bottom, Dan understands the intricacies of plan development and the importance of value engineering to achieve the maximize effect without breaking the bank.

Chris, a husband, father, grandfather, and lifelong resident of the Raleigh, NC area, joined Core in 2011, bringing with him over 25 years of experience in the construction industry. With a prior resume’ that includes being a licensed home builder and owner of a very successful painting company, Chris brought an abundance of experience and attributes that made his transition to the commercial market relatively easy. He has proved that providing the client with a quality product, on schedule, and on budget, is the formula for success in any field.

Chris’ personal emphasis on hard work, integrity, and attention to detail, has allowed him to advance within the company. Originally hired as a field Superintendent, his advanced abilities and job knowledge quickly earned him a management position with the Core team. As a Project Manager, he has managed hundreds of projects successfully…with client satisfaction, accolades, and references. Most recently, Chris was promoted to the role of Vice President. Although this latest advancement has some additional duties and responsibilities, he will continue to do daily what he loves…manage projects.
